ETSO-C127a Certification Tests successfully passed!

Our Economy Class Seat ECO-01 passed the certification tests according to EASA regulation

ETSO-C127a with success!

The static and dynamic tests were conducted at the Dynamic Test Center AG in Vauffelin near Biel in Switzerland.
The dynamic tests were performed using a sled installation. For the 16g forward test, a sledge equipped with two
dummies, is decelerated from a barrier impact velocity of 50 km/h to halt with a hydraulic brake via a pulse of min.
16 g (peak at 90 ms), i.e. the deceleration corresponds to 16 times the acceleration of gravity.

After the test, the seat was still fixed to the seat rail. No parts of the seat were detached and no defect was detected
on the seat structure. The dummies remained with their seat belts still attached to their waste. The safety belt locks
could be opened without additional effort.
With these positive results the requirements of 16g dynamic test for our seat are fulfilled.

Our ECO-01 seat also passed the so called 14g downward test, a further dynamic test which simulates a downward
crash.
In addition, all the  static tests, i.e.

        9g forward
        4g side
        8.8g down
        5.4g up
        1.65g rear

were passed successfully by our ECO-01.

Finally, the required flammability tests were conducted successfully, partly at Lantal in Langenthal, Switzerland,
and partly at Vauth & Sohn in Brakel.
